“The world is yours, not mine” presents one of the most vulnerable and honest projects of Ann’s career. An intimate exploration of identity, raw emotion, andthe fleeting connections that shaped, inspired, and molded her artistic world. The title, a subversive reinterpretation of the iconic phrase “the world is yours,” flips its meaning into an inverse declaration:“my world, my art, no longer belongs to me; I give it to those who inspired it, those who touched it, those who feel it.”
